At the beginning of the year, the second phase of the expansion of Photovoltech began. This consists of a new production hall, an office and a logistics building that will be connected to our existing building. The current status: The prefab concrete structure of the production unit has been completely installed. The foundation of the office building has been finished and the set up of the steel construction will start following the summer holidays. The logistics unit will accommodate a warehouse of slow moving parts on the ground floor. Meanwhile, the first floor will be home to a warehouse for spare parts and offices. The changing rooms and the canteen are to be located on an intermediate floor and further offices will be installed on the second floor. The production building consists of a technical layer and two production layers above on which six production lines can be housed. An underground parking area will be provided underneath a part of this unit. By mid October 2009 the production unit will be finished from a construction point of view. By February 2010 the construction of the office building will be finished. The installation of new production lines will start in 2010 and be placed gradually - the plan is to be in total at a capacity of 250 MWp in 2012. The new building together with the existing ones can ultimately host up to more than 500 MWp production capacity.
