Belgian Campaign Powered by Photovoltech

(Tienen, Belgium - June 8 2009) It is extremely clear to see in the streets of Belgium: the Belgian PV market is exploding in 2009! Our little country is quickly becoming a relatively big player on the global PV market. Indeed, EPIA predicts that from 100 up to 175 MWp will be installed in Belgium in 2009. In comparison, EPIA expects that from 250 up to 300 MWp will be installed in France in the same time period.
Belgium offers a range of excellent support schemes for those wanting to invest in photovoltaics. And the announcement by the Flemish government regarding reducing the green power certificates from 0.45€/kWh to 0.35€/kWh with effect from 1st January 2010 (but still guaranteed for 20 years) only goes to further reinforce the current interest in PV. Consequently, we are witnessing an explosive growth in the PV market, particularly in Flanders.
As a Belgian producer of solar cells, we are naturally determined to have a strong position in our domestic market. Therefore, in cooperation with Wallace & Sanders (a communication office situated in Heist-op-den-Berg), Photovoltech commenced a campaign to stimulate the demand for solar panels made with Photovoltech cells or solar panels Powered by Photovoltech.
As a starting point, Photovoltech launched two new websites - www.verleidhetzonlicht.be (Dutch) and www.seduisezlesoleil.be (French). These enable Photovoltech to inform end consumers about the use of photovoltaic solar energy. In addition to general information regarding durable solar energy and solar panels and useful links, the consumer is also able to find more specific information on the websites. They offer a step-by-step plan relating to the installation of a PV system and detailed information about different subsidies and bonuses that the government grants for installing solar panels. The end consumer is also able to find recognized installers of solar panels Powered by Photovoltech, which are sorted by region.
Alongside the consumer website, Photovoltech has developed a second website specifically oriented towards installers: www.poweredbyphotovoltech.be . This allows professionals to find the contact details of producers of solar panels Powered by Photovoltech and their distributors in both Belgium and The Netherlands. The site also provides further information regarding the quality label Powered by Photovoltech - a label that clearly reflects our high-tech products that are ‘Made in Belgium’, use excellent raw materials and successfully adhere to the highest quality standards.
For those professionals who might be interested, there is the possibility for them to apply to be selected as a recognized installer. When the installer is selected after a first screening and an on the spot visit, his or her contact details will be integrated within the search module on the end consumer website. This will mean the end consumer can then find him or her and make direct contact.
