(Tienen, Belgium - October 8 2008) - On the website of Open House for Companies, on 5th of October 2008, this day was described as 'a gigantic succes'! 348 companies took part in this 'national open house'. Thousands of employees perfectly organized the Open House of their company. Approximately 845.00 visitors defied bad autumn weather to visit the participating companies.
The conclusion 'a gigantic succes' the organization that coordinates he Open House for Companies made is definitely also applicable to Photovoltech! Photovoltech welcomed 4.380 visitors to its innovative environment.
In the tent at the entrance, we showed the production steps from sand to a PV-system by an exhibition of pictures and explanations. Outside of the tent, visitors could see with their own eyes the impressive recently constructed 'Energy Arch', Photovoltech's own PV-system. Throughout the cleanroom, the production process from wafer to solar cell was explained by means of information panels with photos and text. At our 'jobcorner', interested people could learn more about open job oppotunities at Photovoltech. Outside, at the end of the tour, everybody was offered a drink.
All visitors were delighted! Some people had to wait before they could enter the cleanroom but it was worth waiting. It was a unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of our production. Despite the bad weather, it was a wonderful day for Photovoltech!
