Photovoltech to win the Flanders Investment & Trade Young Exporter 2006 award - 'The export Lion' The ‘Flanders Investment & Trade' contest is designed for young enterprises involved in exports and takes place on an annual basis. The aim is to reward the company that achieves the most impressive export results during the preceding year.
We are proud to announce that on 30th May 2007, Minister Moerman handed the award of the Young Exporter 2006 to Mr. Johan Nijs, our General Manager.

In making their decision to award this prestigious prize to Photovoltech, the jury provided the following explanation:
“The Solar energy market will grow throughout the world and Photovoltech clearly have the ambition to become an important player in the world market. The company distinguishes itself through its high quality products, based on technology developed with Imec, as well electrical quality (output) and visual quality (Back Contact Cells). Photovoltech intend to take up an important position with their Maxis Back Contact Cells that can be easily integrated in façades, roofs and sun blinds. “
In particularly, the jury was impressed by the spectacular growth of turnover that we achieved, which in turn resulted in additional employment opportunities being created at Photovoltech. We are pleased to confirm that further expansions to our production process are already planned for 2008.
